The Marshall Home Team, based out of Leesburg, works with buyers and sellers throughout Northern Virginia and the western counties. We offer our clients a mobile, highly responsive approach to business. Education is also front and center in our own home and in all of our real estate transactions. We educate our buyers and sellers to the fullest extent throughout the entire process.

We've been a team ever since we said "I do" at the Hyatt Regency in Reston Town Center on January 11, 1992. We met at James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia, where Tom was the Guidance Director and Barbi was the Special Education Department Chair.  After our children Amy and Cory were born, it dawned on us that actual retirement wouldn't be in the cards for a while. Tom has been an active licensed realtor in Virginia since 1998; Barbi received her license in 2001.

Tom's specialty is fostering harmonious transactions. As a retired Fairfax County Public Schools administrator and counselor, he is trained to listen. He focuses on understanding the goals of all parties involved, and formulating a win-win conclusion. He is able to counsel clients so that people can make a decision about a property with knowledge and confidence.

Barbi is highly attuned to using the latest trends in technology to promote and market properties. She places great emphasis on communications, organization, and taking care of the details. Originally from Dallas, she was a special education teacher in the Dallas Independent School District, Prince William and Fairfax Counties, for a total of 30 years.

On our team, someone is always available. We can be anywhere at anytime. Having worked in schools all over Northern Virginia, we know the Northern Virginia area well. With buyers, we take the time to educate you about the process and we don't like to make you feel rushed; we want you to have the luxury of seeing a variety of properties, at your own pace. When listing properties, we keep sellers constantly informed about where we are in the process and offer advice, as needed with a rapidly changing market.

We love the feeling of belonging in the town of Leesburg, and we're very active in the community. Tom sits on the Loudoun County School Board and formerly, was an appointee to Loudoun County's Advisory Council on Youth. He has also served on the Balch Library commission. Barbi is on the PTA at Loudoun County High School and is co-chair of programming, on the board of the Loudoun Education Alliance of Parents. We are big supporters of the basketball, football and baseball leagues, in Loudoun County, Loudoun County High School and, Leesburg's newest high school, Tuscarora High.  We also enjoy the surrounding countryside, with its rural charm, rolling hills, quaint towns, and many vineyards.
